Note: A detachment of only three companies of the 13th Maine under Major Abernathy B. Grover participated briefly in the Siege of Petersburg from about July 18 through July 27, 1864. The other seven companies were pursuing Jubal Early’s Valley Army to Snicker’s Gap and were never present at Petersburg.
Muster In: Organized at Augusta and mustered in December 13, 1861.1
Muster Out: Veterans and Recruits consolidated to a Battalion and transferred to 30th Maine Infantry December 25, 1864.2
