  • Note: The 18th Indiana returned from a furlough via Indianapolis, Indiana, arriving at Bermuda Hundred on July 21, 1864.  The unit appears to have been stationed briefly at Bermuda Hundred and Deep Bottom with the Army of the James from July 21 to July 31, leaving for Washington on that day.12,13

  • Ordered to Deep Bottom July 27 and stayed until July 31.23
