Summary: In this slightly more than one page report, Major Thomas J. Wooten of the 18th North Carolina, commander of the Sharpshooter Battalion of Lane’s Brigade, explains what his corps of sharpshooters was doing on June 22, 1864 at the Battle of Jerusalem Plank Road. Lane’s Brigade was in Wilcox’s Division, Third Corps, Army of Northern Virginia.
