Hello! I just came across a book with an inscription inside. It was written by a man in the 148th PA Volunteer Infantry and he helped carry a wounded Captain from the 105th PA Volunteer Infantry off the field at Second Deep Bottom. Both young men were (basically) from the same hometown in West-central PA. Do you have any specific information about either of these two regiments at Second Deep Bottom? THANK YOU! — Ray
Ray,
Can you tell me the name of the book? I’d like to add it to my unit history spreadsheet.
All I currently have on these regiments is posted on their unit history pages on my site:
105th PA: http://www.beyondthecrater.com/resources/units/union-u/union-inf/pa-inf/105th-pennsylvania-infantry/
148th PA: http://www.beyondthecrater.com/resources/units/union-u/union-inf/pa-inf/148th-pennsylvania-infantry/
Scroll down to the bottom and you will see the links of all posts on my site which mention these two regiments.
