Octave Bruso Diary: January 31, 1864

Note: This is one of many diary entries of Octave Bruso, a member of the 50th New York Engineers who participated in the Petersburg Campaign.

Sunday January 31, 18641

Very ___ (Editor: unclear) . Attended church in the morning. And evening with L.

(Editor: “L” is presumably the pet name Octave had for Charlotte “Lottie” Henry Pierce, the woman he would marry within weeks.)
